Form 941, the tax form used for reporting payroll-related taxes is known as the Employer’s Quarterly Tax Return. Employers in the United States must report the income taxes and FICA taxes withheld from their employees’ income during the tax year. Reporting these also helps to file further tax forms such as the W-2 and other relevant tax forms that report income and other taxes.
The same as the other tax returns, employers have the option to e-file 941, or they can prepare it on paper and mail it to the Internal Revenue Service. Although e-filing is a lot faster and takes less effort than preparing a 941 on paper, you can fill out the form online and print a paper copy. It won’t be the same as e-filing as you’re still going to need to print a paper copy and mail it to the Internal Revenue Service, but it will be a lot faster and convenient than preparing a paper return.
